Listener notice

While your bot is connected to the event stream, a notice for listeners is posted to the broadcast under your bot account's name. It tells listeners, as the Spoon Terms of Service require, what your bot receives.

There is nothing to do in your code

The server posts it under your bot's name. Neither you nor the DJ can turn it off. Just be aware that listeners may see this message and ask about your bot.

Good to know

• It applies only to bots connected to the event stream. A bot that only uses sending chat and never connects to the stream posts no notice.
• Even with several bots in the same room, the room-wide notice goes out once per interval. It is not repeated per bot.
• The join notice goes out regardless of manager appointment or the events.presence permission.
• It does not count against your bot's rate limits.
