Connecting your bot posts a listener notice

When your bot connects to the event stream, a listener notice is posted under your bot's name. It cannot be turned off — see Listener notice for when and to whom.

Where to start​

  • Register an app — register an app in the Developer Center and get your Client ID and Client Secret. This is the first step for every integration.
  • Build a bot — an end-to-end example that goes from consent to receiving live chat to posting under the bot's name.
  • Choosing permissions — the permissions a bot can ask a DJ for. Decide here which combination your bot needs.
  • API reference — every endpoint in one table, and a page per endpoint with its request, response, examples, and errors in one place.
  • Listener notice — the notice posted under your bot's name once it connects to the stream.
  • CHANGELOG — follow changes to the Developer Center and these docs. An RSS feed is available.
